About Journey Home Yoga
Purpose
The mission of
Journey Home Yoga is to offer Hatha yoga instruction in a safe, supportive,
non-competitive environment that honors and serves the needs of students
interested in exploring yoga as a means of improving overall health.
It is our belief
that by developing awareness of the connection between the body, breath and
mind, students will be able to enjoy a greater degree of physical and mental
health, as well as an overall sense of well being. We believe that the regular
practice of yoga leads to the experience of a true, lasting peace that is
translated into our actions, words and thoughts.
Method
Encouraged to work at
their personal level of ability, students are given instruction in yoga
postures, breathing techniques and the focusing of the mind's attention. In a
non-competitive, supportive atmosphere, each student is encouraged to work at a
level that challenges without strain, and develops the flexibility and strength
of their body, breath and mind. |
